Where Have I Been?

Oops! Nowhere apparently! (Sorry to those that clicked on this post, which wasn't supposed to be published yet, and found a blank page.) :)

But in all seriousness, I do want to share with you all what I have been up to. Otherwise I would be a bad blogger right?

I wouldn't say I have "quit" blogging, but I have decided to focus on some important things in life. I have so much to plan in the next few months: Lil's birthday party, the Great Cloth Diaper Change for my area, redirecting my future career, and starting a business. Because of this, I really need to take some time off. Don't worry, I will be still be sharing all of my creations with you all.

I do miss blogging very much already and I'm not going away, but my posts will be quite limited. By the time I'm "back" full speed, I'll have so much to talk about!

Thank you all for your support, always. You are all very special to me.

A Freshly Picked Moccasin Giveaway! (CLOSED)

For quite some time now, I have been looking all googly-eyed at the gorgeous moccasins over at Freshly Picked. This is a small business with a BIG passion for making high quality and to-die-for adorable shoes for little ones. You may have even seen her on Shark Tank recently!

We ordered our first pair at the beginning of January and by the time we were home from our vacation they were already here. For our first pair we chose blush and now we have a sand suede pair on the way! As a sewist I look for quality work in handmade items, and these definitely have that. Not only are they constructed beautifully, but they are also made with quality materials. Our first pair we ordered a size too big so that they would fit for a long time and even though they are a little big, they still stay on her feet just fine.

Another thing that I love about these is that they are heirloom quality shoes. We will no doubt keep these stored away forever once Leila outgrows them. And did I mention she loves them? One day we were in the car and she cried the whole time because she wasn't wearing her moccasins. Ha! Are they just beautiful?

I can't say enough good things about them. Make sure you come back later on for more pictures of my little modeling her moccs!

Today I am giving a pair away to one of my fans because I love you guys and I love these moccs. To enter to win, submit your entries into the rafflecopter. Good luck everyone!

Handmade Valentine's Gifts

As I have mentioned before, I am a huge lover and supporter of small businesses. I always browse Etsy during gift giving season before moving on to bigger stores. Gifts from Etsy shops or other home based businesses are so much more personal and add a special touch.

Valentine's Day gifts and decor are one of my favorites. So much cuteness.

1. Burlap Banner with red hearts: This comes from Mirtillo Shop, a shop based in Italy. Their burlap banners are adorable; you can get them for weddings, Valentine's Day, baby arrivals, and more!

2. Heart Gloves: From a gorgeous shop based in Turkey, these are just beautiful.

3. Handpainted Mug: Gold has been one of my favorite colors lately, and this really caught my eye. Check out the other stuff in this shop here.

4. Cashmere Undies: Yes, I said cashmere. It is one of my favorite fabrics EVER, we use cashmere longies in Leila's diapering system. Now I can get some for myself? Yes please.

5."You're my Person" card - This adorable card is simple and to the point. It certainly isn't the only adorable card in this shop though!

6. "Shut Up and Kiss Me" Chapstick - I am always looking for beauty products that are either made in better working conditions or with less nasty chemicals in them. The ingredients of these products are put right out there for everyone to see. Gotta love the pure honesty of this shop.

7. Valentine's Wreath - I found this wreath while browsing and was "wowed" by its beauty. It is just purely pretty isn't it? It would also be beautiful for Christmas or a red themed wedding!

That's all for now! Have any other Valentine's Day gift ideas? Let me know in the comments sections.
